Privacy Policy

TradieValley ("we," "us," or "our") operates the TradieValley platform at tradievalley.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, password (encrypted), neighborhood, phone number (optional), and trade specialty (contractors). When you post a job we collect job details, budget, and timeline. Payment information is processed directly by Stripe — we never store your card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the platform, match homeowners with contractors, send notifications about bids and jobs, process payments through Stripe, and improve our service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Phone Number Disclosure

Your phone number is optional and is never displayed publicly. It is only shared with a contractor after you explicitly accept their bid. Contractors' phone numbers are shared with homeowners only upon bid acceptance.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified cloud database provider. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

5. Third-Party Services

We use Stripe for payment processing (subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy), Supabase for data storage, and Netlify for hosting. These services have their own privacy policies which govern their use of your data.

6. California Privacy Rights

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). TradieValley does not currently meet the thresholds that trigger CCPA obligations (under $26.625M annual revenue, under 100,000 consumers). We nonetheless respect your right to request deletion of your account and data by contacting us at privacy@tradievalley.com.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for maintaining your login session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
